Slideshow Options

Customise how your pic.ie photo frame looks and behaves

Opening the Settings panel

The slideshow is designed to run hands-free, but you can change its behaviour at any time without touching your dashboard.

Tap or click anywhere on the screen while the slideshow is running to open the Settings panel. It slides in from the right edge. All changes take effect immediately and are remembered on that device - so each screen can have its own settings.

timer
Delay between photos

Controls how long each photo is shown before the next one appears. The options are 5 seconds, 10 seconds, 15 seconds, 30 seconds, 1 minute, or Manual.

In Manual mode the slideshow pauses on each photo until you tap the screen to advance it yourself - useful if you want to linger on a favourite image.

shuffle
Order

Choose 🔀 Random to have photos appear in a different order each time the queue is refreshed (every 3 minutes), or ▶ Sequential to show photos oldest-first in the order they were taken.

access_time
Clock

When set to 🕐 Show time and date, the current time and date are displayed in the bottom-left corner of the screen over the photo. Turn it Off for a cleaner look with no overlaid text.

info_outline
Photo Info

When set to 📅 Show date & location, the date the photo was taken and its approximate location (if GPS data is available) appear in the bottom-right corner. pic.ie uses the photo's EXIF metadata to determine this - no extra setup is needed. Turn it Off to hide this overlay.

format_size
Font Size

Adjusts the size of all overlaid text - the clock, date, and location labels. Choose from Small, Default, Large, or Largest to suit the viewing distance and screen size of your device.

fullscreen
Fullscreen

The slideshow requests fullscreen automatically when it starts. If the browser exits fullscreen (for example after an inactivity timeout), a small Fullscreen button appears in the top-right corner of the screen. Tap it to return to fullscreen without opening the Settings panel.
